Sorry, Sold Out!

Feri does not belong to one, present-day culture. Threads of Feri can be found woven into the fabric of many cultures and religions. Often these strands are hidden or disguised, but if we're paying attention we might sense their reverberations.

The folks I've met in the Feri tradition are a diversely opinionated bunch. And we aren't exactly known for being nice. But there’s room in Witch Eye, I hope, for all Feri Witches. If you have something to say about what you read in these pages, I encourage you to respond respectfully with your own take on the subject.

It's not news to most of you that there are some intense differences among Feri folks about what is and is not part of the Feri tradition. Aspects that are important to one branch may not have been passed down to another, or may be new. (See what Storm has to say about it in the Community Forum). But whether or not all the details of our training and practice are the same, I think it’s important that we keep talking to one another. Hey, I’m big on building bridges. And while some paths are worn bare by the multitudes, some paths have yet to be discovered. There will always be both old and new ways to connect us to that which is Old. Witch Eye is here to honor both.

I want to see Witch Eye dripping with the wild, dark, creative juices that reek of Feri. May we all shake loose our boxes and remember in our very bones what it is to be fey.

With love and magic, I offer Witch Eye: a zine of Feri uprising. Welcome to the first issue, Samhain 1999.
